Jogging & Biking

A more perfect walking town than Fairhope couldn’t be designed. From the front door of The Pulitzer Hotel you’ll be drawn west down the wide, scenic sidewalks through the center of downtown toward the bay. As you ascend the bluff overlooking the pier at Fairhope Park and Rose Garden, you can head south on the waking trail that follows the bayfront and enjoy the gentle breezes and southern hospitality of others who make the trail a regular part of their days.

Eastern Shore Trail, Biking
The 24-mile Eastern Shore Trail is a dedicated pedestrian/cycling path that runs from the USS Alabama along the eastern shore of Mobile Bay to Mullet Point, 4.5 miles south of Point Clear, nearly the entire length of Scenic US 98A through the towns of Daphne and Fairhope. It’s an excellent opportunity for casual, beginner, or advanced cyclists to enjoy views of the bay and experience a pleasant town-to-town ride with a minimum of automobile traffic. As it passes through the downtown areas of Daphne and Fairhope, ample dining and touring waypoints present themselves regularly. In addition, five prime birding sites line the trail.
